Nakheel awards $259 million contract for 617 homes at Dubai Islands' Bay Grove
Dubai Holding Real Estate's Nakheel has hired Parkway International Contracting for Bay Grove Residences Phases 2 and 4 on Dubai Islands, a contract worth more than AED 950 million (about $259 million). The job covers 617 homes in eight buildings.
The package covers apartments with one to four bedrooms, basement works, site infrastructure and amenities including pools, sports courts and gyms, TradeArabia reported. Phase 2 has 360 homes in four buildings, and main construction is due to wrap up by late 2028. Phase 4 has 257 homes in another four buildings and is scheduled to finish between April and June 2029.
Phases 1 and 3, with 537 homes in seven buildings, went out earlier under a Nakheel contract valued above AED 800 million. With the second award, the developer has main contractors on all 1,154 planned homes in Bay Grove's 15 buildings, and the two packages together top AED 1.75 billion. The announcement did not name the builder on the first package or give a start date for the new phases.
Parkway managing partner Tarek Zoabi said his team would concentrate on "safe, disciplined delivery" in both phases. Plans for Bay Grove include footpaths, cycle routes and a link to Crystal Beach. Dubai Islands, off the coast of Deira, spans five islands and 18.6 square kilometers.
Why it matters: Trade contractors and suppliers chasing Dubai Islands work now know which GC holds Bay Grove Phases 2 and 4, with 360 homes due by late 2028 and 257 more by the end of June 2029.
