Port Authority pours another quadrant of the 3.5-acre deck for its $10 billion bus terminal rebuild

Crews placed concrete on the latest of four deck quadrants over Dyer Avenue and the Lincoln Tunnel Expressway on Oct. 24, ENR reports. The deck, due in 2027, will hold staging during construction and later become green space, while a new building west of the terminal is due by 2030.

Why it matters: This is the first visible piece of a decade-long rebuild of the country's busiest bus terminal, with more phases still to be let.

Audi picks Georgia for its first US plant, a $4 billion job with no builder named yet

Audi will make Q7, Q8 and Q9 SUVs at the Middle Georgia Megasite in Peach County, near Macon. ENR reports that grading is planned for 2027 and full construction for 2028, with output of up to 200,000 vehicles a year in the early 2030s and about 4,500 jobs.

Why it matters: Neither the designer nor the contractor has been announced, so every package on this plant is still ahead. Sitework, MEP and specialty subs in the Southeast should start watching now.
